Therapeutic Medical Massage

Medical massage

Focuses on the muscles behind your symptoms, based on your assessment. Not a general relaxation massage.

Therapeutic Medical Massage at ReHappy Clinic

Does this sound like you?

  • Neck and shoulder tension from work
  • Tight, tired muscles after exercise or sport
  • Relaxation massage helps, but the pain soon comes back
  • You want to know which muscles are behind your symptoms

If it does, let our doctor assess you before treatment starts.

How is it different from a regular massage?

Therapeutic medical massage focuses on the muscles behind your symptoms, based on the doctor’s assessment. It isn’t a general relaxation massage.

Part of a wider plan

It is usually combined with other treatments in your plan, plus simple exercises to keep going at home.

Your actual plan depends on the doctor’s assessment.

How treatment works

From your first message to getting back to normal life.

Ask for advice and book a day and time.

  2. Step 2 of 4: Doctor’s assessment

A physical exam to find the cause of your pain, not just where it hurts.

  3. Step 3 of 4: A plan for you

Treatments and number of sessions matched to your symptoms, goals and lifestyle.

  4. Step 4 of 4: Treat and follow up

Sessions at the clinic, plus simple exercises to keep going at home.

Other treatments

  • Knee joint injection

    For knee osteoarthritis

Suited to early-stage knee osteoarthritis, or advanced cases where other treatments aren’t an option, for example with several health conditions or concerns about surgery.

  • Focused Shockwave

    Focused shockwave therapy

High-energy sound waves gathered into a single focal point, so the position and depth of the energy can be set. Suited to muscle and bone problems.

  • Radial Shockwave

    Radial shockwave therapy

Compressed air drives a piston, a little like an air gun, so the waves spread out in a wide cone. Used for muscle and tendon pain from repetitive use or long-lasting pain.

  • High Power Laser

    High-intensity laser

Boosts blood flow and recovery from nerve injury, and quickly reduces acute tissue swelling.

  • Dry Needling

    Trigger-point release

Fine needles release tight, knotted muscles, a good match for office syndrome.

  • Cryotherapy

    Cold therapy

Extreme cold (from -110°C to -196°C) used in medical treatment and rehabilitation.

  • Pilates Reformer

    Private class

One-to-one sessions on the Reformer to rebuild core strength, balance and movement.

  • Tension Headache Massage

    Head massage for tension headaches

Head massage for migraines and chronic headaches that come from the neck and shoulder muscles, working along the muscles and encouraging lymph flow.
